Application Software Support Engineer 30-40K

Supporting existing applications written in classic Visual Basic (VB) and C as well as applications being built in C# ASP.NET SQL Server.

This is an exceptional company operating in a niche market with a growing global dominance and are nearly completely resistant to resection since they have more than a 5 year sales order book. Career progression and technical exposure are both a given for someone with a good attitude and ability to grasp new technologies rapidly.

Supporting external customers in a 2nd and 3rd line capacity where problem resolution and managing client relationships is the priority. This is not a high volume help desk environment.

Role / opportunity:

  • Application support and development
  • Software support and development
  • Supporting VB and C written programs
  • New development in C# ASP.NET C++ SQL Server environment
  • Career progression to development or QA or team leadership roles
  • Dublin city centre based role

Skills / experience:

  • 2+ years commercial application support experience
  • Background of VB or C programming
  • Strong client interaction skills
  • Broad understanding of IT

Salary:

  • 35-40K + benefits
