Automation Test Engineer

The role will suit a QA Engineer with a background of software development who enjoys scripting and creating automation test tools rather than purely wishing to use an out-of-the box solution.

Joining a team of automation testers and build engineers you will work with all areas of software development in order to write plan and execute tests, build and execute automated testware for weekly production patches, work with the environments teams to ensure stability of builds, build automation regression test scenarios for both technical and functional applications.

Role / opportunity:
• Contribute to the enhancement of the companies automation test tool infrastructure.
• Review test specifications and build automated regression coverage for both new and existing features
• Develop new automation test cases for regression testing.
• Working with XML and web application technology
• Perform peer review automation work.
• Maintain and update Automation Test Scripts for Regression Testing
• Log, reproduce application bugs and retest the fixes.

Skills / experience:
• 4+ years experience for QA / Testing
• Background of development or scripting
• Experience with one or more of; JavaScript, XML, Perl, BASH, Python. KSH / Shell
• Beneficial to have exposure to; JUnit or Bamboo or QTP or WinRunner or SilkTest
