Build and Release Engineer
Exceptional opportunity to join a growing multinational product development company as they expand their European operation in Dublin. As part of the build and release team you’ll be responsible for deploying the automated build process in multiple development and QA environments and contributing to the designing, implementing, running and debugging, highly efficient and stable, repeatable processes.

As part of a robust international SCM Build and release team you must be able to contribute in all areas while focusing particularly on managing multiple development and QA environments (possibly 8+ at a time) within a Tomcat/MySQL/Apache technology stack.

The team takes the output of a build and through automation scripts written primarily in BASH and using the Bamboo Continuous Integration tool, build out dozens of environments.

The role is less focused on managing the build code and debugging the build process and more taking the output of build process and deploying it into multiple environments

You should have good experience of managing server environments, applying builds, know how the build works but you don’t need to be the source code engineer.

The automation is to allow deployment repetitively to development and test environments, one person could be responsible for 8+ environments. In total there are 15-18 environments currently which will double in the near future.

Understanding of basic networking architecture will be required for this role

Technical skills:
• Strong scripting skills (Shell scripting, BASH, JavaScript, Python, SQL, PHP)
• Experience with MySQL, Apache Tomcat, Apache httpd.
• Familiarity and ease working with cron, ssh and other Linux utilities.
