CTO for exciting new Software Company

Exceptional opportunity for an experienced CTO to join an emerging software product company as they are being spun out from their international parent. You must have a background as a CTO of a software product company and be proven in providing the strategic direction of product development, making technology choices, assessing products in market context and be able to portray this to customers in a clear fashion.

With a strong client base and well defined revenue streams this business is now being hived off in order to allow the parent to focus on core business activities and to allow this new business of circa 25 people to grow to it’s full potential.

There is an established senior team of COO, Sales, Delivery, Finance with a gap in the CTO position, the client base is UK and Ireland based at this stage with some excellent reference sites in both countries.

Role / opportunity:

  • Chief Technology Officer
  • Defining the direction of products
  • R&D of new products
  • Technically leading the business
  • Client facing role
  • Involved at all stages of pre and post sales
  • Some travel will be required in this role
  • Working with some established products while building new a different product offerings

Skills / experience:

  • 10+ years commercial experience
  • Proven in a CTO role for 3+ years
  • Must have a Product and not Services background
  • Comfortable in client facing situations
  • Ability to drive product evolution
  • Well versed in emerging technologies and their application
