Desktop support Engineer Trading environment

Great opportunity for a junior support engineer with 1-3 years commercial experience supporting MS Windows, MS Office, MS Exchange and a positive ambitious attitude. Some exposure to corporate banking or a trading environment would be an advantage but not a pre-requisite.

Role / opportunity

  • Desktop Support role
  • Windows Office Exchange & Linux technical environment
  • Team of 5 desktop support engineers
  • Supporting a front office trading environment and back office opperations
  • Hardware set-up and support
  • Software installation and maintenance
  • Network connectivity and maintenance
  • Assist in system upgrades, conversions and other maintenance
  • Support and maintain all internal systems

Skills / experience

  • 1-3 years commercial Technical Support experience
  • Experience with Windows 2000 and XP
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Exposure to Microsoft Exchange
  • Exposure to LINUX OS (Red Hat and SUSE) would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
