French Java Professional Services Engineer

Fantastic new role with a growing international software house for a Java J2EE Engineer with a Professional Services background. This role allows someone to work remotely and travel to client sites in France as needed, the majority of clients are in the Paris region.

Working in a client facing technical role through the pre-sales, post sales, customisation and integration of open source Java products. You will be working as part of a small technical team of experienced professionals and be expected to be able to stand on your own two feet in client facing situations.

Fluent French is required for this role.

Role / opportunity:

  • Pre-sales, analysis, design and programming of customisation and system integration
  • Open source Java J2EE Web based applications
  • Client facing professional services role
  • Working remotely and travelling to client sites in France
  • Working with web technologies including Javascript, HTML, DHTML, XML
  • Be confident in client facing situations acting as an external consultant

Skills/experience:

  • 6+ years commercial experience
  • 4+ years Java J2EE web-based application development experience (servlets, JSPs)
  • 2+ years professional services consulting experience
  • Technical knowledge of; Javascript, HTML, DHTML, XML, RDBMS (Oracle, DB2, MySQL or MS SQLServer), Web Application Server (WebSphere, Weblogic, Tomcat, Apache, JBoss)
  • Native / near-native fluency in French

Package:

  • 50-60K base salary with full benefits package
