Head of IT Infrastructure
Exceptional opportunity for an experienced and motivated Senior IT Manager with a strong background of managing teams in a structured environment with positive working practices within the IT infrastructure domain.
You should be an exceptional communicator and strong at managing the relationship with the business stakeholders and ensure IT provide a suitable level of service. Being able to implement structure with clear procedures and policies will be a significant part of this role initially.
Developing an internal group of engineers into a team in order to create a more efficient and collaborative approach to BAO support and then allowing for projects to be taken on.
Role / opportunity:
- Implementing structure, process and procedures into an infrastructure support team
- Leading, mentoring, developing, enhancing, empowering the team
- Influencing, querying, debating and pioneering technical decisions
- Communicating effectively and continuously with internal business clients
- Driving Projects for system and process improvements
- Empowering the team to deliver on projects
- Build and justify 18 month strategy in line with the business
- Create highly auditable systems and processes
Skills / experience:
- 10+ years commercial experience
- 4+ years in Senior IT Management role (not Project Management)
- Strong IT infrastructure background (able to debate, and tease-out suitable technical decisions/solutions)
- Strong background of working in a structured working environment
- Proven ability to plan and execute a medium term IT strategy
- Exceptional communication skills
- Practical approach to getting the job done
