Infrastructure Architect / Network Architect
New position for an experienced hardware and network architect with a strong background as an engineer as well as experience of creating project plans and project managing initiatives. This is a role suited to someone with a passion for technology and a desire to constantly improve things who wants to work with a company who are willing to spend money and invest in new kit and core infrastructure projects.
In this role you will be reporting to the head of IT who is an impassioned technologist and will be willing to share ideas and opinions on solutions and then you will be left to get on with making things happen. You will have full ownership of designing the new infrastructure for this global organization. Working with external partners, internal engineering teams and business users in order to deliver new infrastructure solutions.

Role / opportunity:
• Architect, design and build server, network, SAN and data centre solutions
• Working on a Greenfield basis for full infrastructure redesign
• Taking ownership of all infrastructure architecture
• Working with external vendors
• Identifying opportunities for improvements, devising projects plan and delivering projects
• Technical leadership to infrastructure team

Skills / experience:
• 8+ years infrastructure engineering experience
• 2+ years experience of infrastructure architecture
• Must have a strong VMware (virtualization) experience and data centre background
• Proven ability to deliver on projects
• Strong documentation skills around translating technical gaps into business requirements and writing project plans
• Knowledge of Unix environments
• Background with WAN, Cisco/Juniper, Firewalls, routing protocols, switching

Package:
• €60K-65K + bonus + bens
