IT Service Delivery Manager - Life & Pensions

Responsible for managing external vendors in the delivery of IT services to Life and Pensions business units within an exciting new Life and Pensions business being built within a global financial services corporation. This role is based in Dublin City Center.

You should have a strong ITIL background and be used to working with external/internal service providers. You need to have a Life & Pensions or Insurance background in this role since root-cause-analysis will lead you into business issues beyond systems.

You will be establishing SLAs with IT service providers, managing the business customers expectations, working closely with the business and service provider to ensure the best possible service is delivered, implementing an ITIL approach for service management. Problem Management, Incident Management and Root Cause Analysis will be a key part of this role where you will be managing a small team of service support analysts.

Role / opportunity:

  • Manage relationships with IT service providers/suppliers and SLAs
  • Manage the delivery of IT services to the business
  • Incident Management / Problem Management / Root Cause Analysis
  • Implementing ITIL approach to service management
  • Manage the successful resolution of incidents and problems
  • Responsible for the end to end IT production support service
  • Acting as the single point of contact for key customers for IT production issues.
  • Manage a small but growing team of Service Delivery Analysts
  • Plan and manage resources to successfully transition new or changed services into production.
  • Support on boarding of new clients.
  • Management reporting

Skills/experience:

  • 5+ years IT Service Delivery Management / Service Management / Service Support Management / Service Delivery Relationship Management
  • 5+ years Life & Pensions or Insurance experience
  • ITIL Service Management Certificate Qualified (or equivalent) would be a bonus
  • Knowledge of policy admin systems
  • Strong incident management, problem management and root cause analysis skills
  • Ability to help establish best practice processes
