IT Specialist/Lab Administrator required for a leading Multi national organisation based in Cork.

Our client is currently on the look for a number of skilled Java Developers to be based in their Cork labs. They are one of the largest IT companies in the world and have developed some of the most innovative and ground breaking technology in both software and hardware products on the market.

Our client has a requirement for a lab administrator to maintain the development/test lab infrastructure. The candidate should be familiar with Windows, UNIX and Linux operating systems. The candidate should also have basic system hardware and operating system/applications troubleshooting skills and be familiar with system network configuration. Excellent customer service and teaming skills are a necessity. Knowledge of PERL and/or shell scripting is a plus as are basic networking skills. The current development/test environment utilizes automated OS load tools, and supports AIX, Solaris, Linux and MS Windows operating systems.

Responsibilities include application of patches/APARs, test environment maintenance, internal customer support and test bed automation/preparation.

The successful candidate will also provided deskside support, images laptops for new hires, performs system classification and security testing.

Requirements:

· Ideally 2+ years experience in the IT industry required, this can include college projects and practical work with the above mentioned software tools
· Bachelors Degree in a related subject
· Fluent in English
