Java Application Developer

Experience Profile :

  • Between 5 and 8 years experience in a similar role in a development organization, preferably within financial services.
  • Experience in a technical leadership or mentoring role, dealing with other developers on a day-to-day basis on both technical and design issues
  • Self motivated team player with the ability to both work independently and to influence others
  • You must be able to demonstrate how you have stood out from the crowd and excelled in previous roles

Required Qualifications :

  • Masters or Honours Degree in Computer Science of similar discipline

Required Skills :

  • Strong object oriented background with excellent knowledge of the Java Programming Language, associated Enterprise APIs and related open-source technologies (particularly Spring, Hibernate)
  • Experience with XML, including XML Schema, XQuery or XSLT and XPath
  • Relational Databases and SQL

Other Relevant Skills :

  • Any experience in Web Application development using JSP, JavaScript, Struts, JSTL, JGO, JQuery, scriptaculous. Cewolf, JFreeChart and Applets
  • Oracle PL/SQL an advantage
