Java Developer, J2EE, OOD, Spring, AJAX, Agile - Dublin.

A leading Irish financial services group, require a talented Java developer to join a growing software development team working on enterprise solutions in a Spring AJAX Hibernate J2EE environment.

The team practise Agile methods, use multiple software stacks and make technology decisions through team consultation. Candidates should be comfortable working experienced engineers who have a love of technology. As well as strong core Java, excellent communication and problem-solving skills will be required.

The key skills and experience required include the following:

  • 4+ years commercial Java experience
  • Strong core Java J2EE
  • Spring framework
  • Design skills, OOP, OOD, Design Patterns
  • DB2 or MS SQL Server experience

The ‘ideal’ candidate will also have exposure to:

  • Prior experience working with one or more MVC frameworks
  • Good knowledge of agile methods and test-driven development
