Java J2EE Professional Services Engineer - France

This is a great opportunity to work in a client facing technical role with a world leading open source product development house with clients throughout Europe. Working with clients on-site through the full life cycle of analysis, design and development / modification of reporting and business intelligence solutions.

This role is focused on the French market and requires fluency in French and strong English.

Working in this client facing role requires strong verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to handle external clients.

Role / opportunity:

  • Analysis, design and development of open source Java J2EE Web based applications
  • Client facing professional services role
  • Working on client site in France (Paris region mostly) for the majority of the time
  • Working with web technologies including Javascript, HTML, DHTML, XML
  • Be self-sufficient but know when to escalate problems to management
  • Participate in pre-sales activities and internal development projects

Skills/experience:

  • Native / near-native fluency in French
  • 4+ years web-based application development experience
  • 3+ years technology services consulting experience
  • Defining requirements, specifying and designing Web-based applications
  • Java/J2EE technology and web applications (servlets, JSPs)
  • General web technologies including Javascript, HTML, DHTML, XML
  • Demonstrated ability to write SQL queries and database stored procedures
  • Relational database design
  • RDBMS administration with a common database (Oracle, DB2, MySQL, MS
  • SQLServer)
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts & data mart design
  • Web Application Server administration with a common server (WebSphere,
  • Weblogic, Tomcat, Apache, JBoss)

Package:

  • 50-60K base salary with full benefits package
