Java Oracle Technical Consultant

Systems integration Java J2EE Oracle XML Websphere Weblogic software developer to join a world leading software house in a client facing role architecting the integration of enterprise applications and then leading the technical integration development. This is a technically challenging role working for an outstanding product development company whose clients are all in the financial services sector.

This is a chance to gain excellent business and technical experience in a customer facing role where you will have the freedom to design solutions as you see best and working with a team of experience software engineers to deliver solutions.

The position is located in Dublin with international travel.

Role / opportunity:

  • Lead technical architect for implementation projects
  • Technical analysis, solution design, system scaling, product configuration and installation and testing for a successful client implementation
  • Java J2EE technical environment
  • Map customer business needs to products
  • Relational database design and optimization, ETL scripting and App Servers configuration
  • Work with product development group to define customization
  • Be a technical point person for customer’s technical questions and issues.
  • Lead junior level technical services personnel in the team.

Skills / experience:

  • 7+ years technical expertise in RDBMS (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server)
  • XML, J2EE app servers (Websphere, Weblogic, Jboss), Java
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skill.
  • Comfortable interacting with client IT and business executives
