Junior 2nd line support Engineer

You will be responsible for providing IT support to the front office traders as well as the internal operations team in a rapid and effective manner.
Role / opportunity
- Technical Support Engineer
- Respond rapidly and effectively to all support issues
- Part of a team of 5 desktop support engineers
- Supporting a front office trading environment
- Hardware set-up and support
- Software installation and maintenance
- Network connectivity and maintenance
- Assist in system upgrades, conversions and other maintenance
- Manage the office security access and related records
- Manage file backup schema and process
- Conduct new employee/trader orientation as related to IT functions
- Support and maintain internal systems
Skills / experience
- 1-3 years commercial Technical Support experience
- A well rounded knowledge of Information Technology,
- Windows 2000 and XP
- Microsoft Office
- Microsoft Exchange
- LINUX OS (Red Hat and SUSE)
- Excellent communication skills
