A Limerick based innovative software and integration Technology Company requires a Junior System Administrator to join its Data Center Operations team. This role will help support the customer facing infrastructure for their SaaS ecommerce platform. There software powers a huge volume of online transactions every day and integrates with the likes of Amazon, eBay, Google, Shopping.com, etc… They offer a very fast-paced environment where every individual is given the ability to shine.

The Systems Administrator will support our Windows and Linux server environment. They are particularly interested in candidates with a natural passion for technology and intellectual curiosity. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience though we will consider less experience if the knowledge and aptitude are evident. We are also interested in candidates who have good knowledge of some of the following:
-IIS and Apache webservers
-VMWare
-Clustering
-Scripting

Required Skills

Experience with or knowledge of the following is highly desired:

  • Linux/UNIX and Windows Server environments in a production capacity to include Windows 2000, 2003, 2008 R2, RedHat and, CentOS
  • IIS 6/7 and Apache web server applications
  • DNS, SMTP, LDAP
  • Clustering and virtualization technologies, such as Windows Server Clustering, RedHat Cluster Services, VMWare, etc.
  • Web technologies such as HTML, XML, ASP, .NET, or PHP is a plus
  • Storage to include EMC, NetApp, or similar type of storage
  • Monitoring tool usage experience, preferably with Zabbix
  • ITIL based or similar support and engineering structure, to include Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management
  • Scripting capabilities (Bash, KSH, Perl, Powershell, etc.) is a plus
  • Good communications, and writing skills
  • Proven ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • e-Commerce, technology, or Software as a Service (SaaS) company is preferred
