Linux Administrator - open source environment

Linux administration and shell scripting position with a world leading SaaS company that are expanding the Dublin based operation. This is a company working at the cutting edge of technology where innovation and new ideas are welcomed, you role will be to ensure that all production and development environments are up and running at all times.

This is a role offering huge variety and will include upgrading, patching, executing and monitoring the processes that keep the SaaS environment on line.

Role / opportunity:

  • Linux administration and shell scripting
  • Working in a high availability on-line environment

  • Creating scripts, applying patches and updates

Skills / experience:

  • 4+ years Linux Administration skills
  • Strong Scripting skills Shell, Perl, BASH
  • Proven background working with open source technologies
  • Experience of upgrading, patching, executing and monitoring processes, creating scripts, applying patches and updates
  • Experience with TCP/IP networking from the Linux end is helpful
  • Experience deploying and operating: Apache Tomcat, MySQL, Subversion, Java web applications, Apache httpd.
