Linux Windows System Administrator
New opportunity for a Linux (Red Hat ideally) administrator with Windows Server administration skills to join a highly successful South Dublin based software house in a Production Systems Administrator role.
You should have 2+ years commercial Linux experience and be looking for an opportunity to stretch yourself in a role which will offer excellent technical exposure and the chance to take ownership of maintenance, security, and on-going deployment of the production systems
while having a senior engineer to escalate to and learn from.

Role / opportunity:
• The provisioning and deployment of reporting mechanisms to measure system metrics,
• performance, management data and other information as required.
• ensure system reliability and disaster recovery.
• System performance monitoring
• System and application upgrades as required.
• Third line customer support.
• Deal with 3rd party suppliers and support service providers
• Systems Security

Skills / experience:
• 2+ years experience with Linux (RHEL ideally, but any flavour will do)
• 2+ years experience with Windows Server 2003
• Working knowledge of Apache 2.x & IIS
• Experience with scripting tasks in Bash/Perl/PHP & Windows Batch Files
• Good working knowledge of SQL for writing DB queries (MySQL & MS SQL Server 2005)
• Some exposure to active directory
• Basic understanding of SAN technologies
• Basic understanding of networking technologies and debugging (use of TCPdump, netstat, etc…)
