The objective of the Microsoft Network Security Analyst is to resolve remote users IT problems. The Microsoft Network Security Analyst responds to external clients needing technical support. English with either German, Itlaian, Spanish or French is required.

Main Responsibilities

The Microsoft Network Security Analyst validates customer’s entitlements and gives high-level technical support through information gathering, analytical trouble shooting and problem research.

· Identifies and resolves customer issues using the tools and resources available;

· Completes follow-on actions as appropriate;

· Retains ownership of each case until problem is resolved or an escalation path is identified;

· Observes strict compliance to licensing, copyright and trademark legislation;

· Protects confidential, sensitive information and materials;

· Accomplishes other duties as required.

Requirements

A suitable candidate must demonstrate a good knowledge of one or more current Microsoft Server Operating Systems (Windows 2000 Server and/or Windows 2003 Server). S/he has a good knowledge of personal computer architecture, advanced knowledge of network infrastructure (TCP/IP) and routing. The successful candidate should ideally hold at least one MCP or be studying towards MCSE qualification although this is not a pre-requisite for this role.

S/he must have a keen interest in Technology with a strong desire to continually learn the latest technologies. A suitable candidate must have a very strong customer orientated focus. S/he will also have expertise in all of the following:

· Internet security and acceleration server ISA 2000 and 2004:

o Excellent understating of the Microsoft Firewall and Proxy services;

o Proven troubleshooting skills and experience;

o Knowledge of the Microsoft network diagnostic tools: netmon.

o Good Knowledge of Microsoft RRAS service

· Good Knowledge of Internet Information Server IIS would be desiderable:

More specifically regarding these technologies:

o HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, Web services, Website publishing

Knowledge on one or more of the following would be an advantage:

· Microsoft SQL Server;

· Microsoft Exchange

· Microsoft Project Server;

· Windows Sharepoint Services;

· Microsoft Access and VBA;

· Load Balancing technology;

· Memory Dump analysis and debugging.
