Open source Developer PhP, AJAX, Python

PhP, SQL, web 2.0, AJAX, Jquery, Python environment. Opportunity to work remotely from any location as an open source software engineer. Working on an EU Government sponsored project as part of a geographically dispersed team of programmers.

The initial contract term is 6 months which is expected to roll on for the next 2 years as a minimum.

It is entirely feasible for someone to work evenings on a freelance basis and fit the work around their 9-5 job.

You must have fluent English language skills both written and verbal and be able to produce code under your own initiative.

Skills / experience:

  • 4+ years commercial programming experience
  • Solid experience with PhP, SQL, web 2.0, ajax, Jquery, Python
  • Ideally some knowledge of source content management system called DRUPAL but not compulsory
