We are looking for a strong DBA with Oracle as well as some Unix skills as listed below.
As an Infrastructure server support you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of Oracle databases, schema provisioning and administration of server hardware / applications.

Role / Opportunity

• Maintenance of Server Hardware and Applications. This will include the upgrading and patching of both Hardware and Software

• Troubleshooting and problem resolution in a networking / Unix environment

• Advise management and colleagues on DBA tools, best practice techniques and methodologies

• Provide and maintain technical documentation

• Respond to and resolve incidents referred by the Company’s Service Desk

Skills / Experience

• 3+ Years experience working as a Oracle database administrator (10g, 11g)

• 3+ Years experience working as a GNU/Linux / Unix system administrator (RHEL based systems)

• Knowledge and experience of other Unix systems desirable (Solaris, AIX)

• Knowledge and experience of installing, upgrading, maintaining and troubleshooting the Oracle • DBMS

• DB2 (9.1 and following versions) knowledge and experience

Salary / Remuneration: 60,000 - 65,000
