Project Manager - Banking / Funds

Senior Project Manager opportunity with a leading international financial services corporation managing multiple large high profile projects which could be a mix of business and software development / delivery related projects. In this role you will be reporting to senior management and executive level stake holders and own the overall project management of multiple simultaneous projects.

Role / opportunity:

  • Project Management
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Delivery of multiple high-profile projects
  • Creating and modifying project plans, schedules and budgets
  • Managing relationships with key business and technical stake holders
  • Reporting to senior management on a regular basis
  • Delivering business critical IT Software development projects
  • Following a clear PM methodology (Prince or PMP)
  • Guide the team and the business on solutions available to support best business practice, maximise efficiencies and minimise operational and technical risk.
  • Managing relationships with external vendors and service providers
  • Interface with application specialists, development resources, technical support teams, operational resources.

Skills / experience:

  • 5+ years commercial project management experience
  • Extensive experience in the financial services arena particularly funds
  • Strong focus on delivering software development projects
  • Experience of reporting to senior management
  • Experience of a recognised project management methodology such as PMP or Prince (certification not necessary)
  • Proven experience of managing SWDLC including QA.
