Our Shannon based multinational requires a Quality Assurance Engineer.

As a member of the Quality Assurance (QA) Team, you must work with business, development and site design teams to define, document and execute test plans/cases and results. Work to ensure new features and enhancements to existing E-Commerce applications satisfy business requirements. Identify, communicate, and track issues uncovered and work with appropriate team to prioritize and resolve or escalate as necessary. Focus attention on critical issues and coordinate resolution through working closely with the systems analysts, developers, and other working team members. Assist with the resolution of production issues as necessary.

Responsibilities include: Participation in reviews of business and functional requirements, application designs; lead QA project planning and strategy sessions with project managers by taking ownership of QA assignments and become sole point person on the project from a testing standpoint; create test plans and cases based on business requirements and technical specifications; document, maintain and monitor software problem reports.

Technical Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in MIS/CIS/CS is required. Experience or considerable understanding of Quality Assurance Methods and Practices is preferred; Experience with Software Development Life Cycle is recommended; Understanding of different development models is helpful; Experience with relational databases (Oracle 9i preferred) and SQL; Strong PC skills (Access, Word, and Excel); Understanding of browser-resident applications & UNIX preferred; Ability to comprehend Java code is a plus.
