An excellent opportunity now exists for a Research Scientist to work for a leading multi national organisation based in their West Dublin office. The role will be full time and permanent.

Our Clients is a major multi national blue chip organisation within the IT Sector, their European Head Quarters based in West Dublin with there further satellite offices based throughout the country. The successful candidate will work on products in the Wireless Performance Management space.

The successful candidate will be part of a research team working with external and internal partners towards the creation of a novel exascale level system, targeted towards smart stream processing. This includes working closely with the Project Manager and the PI to create and evaluate ideas and to interact with various external partners.

Responsibilities

· Research activities within a team of 10+ people locally and 40+ university and other partners

· Responsible for working with and mentoring PhD students and Postdocs

· Conducting Research and specializing in one or more of the following areas:
-All aspects of stream computing
-Streaming databases (organisation, APIs, etc)
-Compilers (dataflow as well as streaming)
-Simulations of large systems (interconnecting on chip, between chips, within a system) - Parameterized (not cycle accurate simulations)
-Performance - modeling, dynamic and balancing
-Accelerators for special functions (circuits, cores, computation units)
-Knowledge discovery, learning, natural language processing on streams of information (real time)
-Optimization and scheduling, mapping, load balancing
-Programming tools, debugging, visualization
-Applications, of real time nature, requiring dense information processing, including correlations, but not simple HPC
-Optical networks, optical interconnects structures and components, optical transceivers, including WDM
-Communication protocols (as used within data centers, supercomputers)

· Evaluating novel ideas and preparing publications and presentation

Requirements for the position

Doctorate Degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

Ideally over 5 years experience in industrial/academic experience in parallel processing, interconnection networks, stream processing or system simulations programming

Ideally over 5 years experience in Post doc industrial/academic experience

Fluent in English
