Research Scientists are required in numerous Communication Protocols, Network Architectures and Parallel Discrete Event Simulations based with a leading technology firm.
The successful candidate will join a research team working with internal and external partners of a leading technology organisation towards the creation of a computing system, targeted towards innovative applications. Responsibilities include working closely with the Principal Investigator to create and evaluate novel ideas, co-advice PhD students and supervise research projects with PostDocs and university faculty participation.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Research activities within a team of 10 scientists and 40 university and other partners
- Responsible for working with and mentoring PhD students and PostDocs projects
- Proven extensive publication record in appropriate journals and conferences
- Working with and maintaining close connections with other teams around the organisation
- Evaluating novel ideas and preparing publications and presentations
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- 7-10 years industrial/academic experience at least an Associate Professor level
- Good communication skills (English) verbal and written
Required
- Doctorate Degree in Computer Sciences or Electrical Engineering
- Ideally gained over 5 years experience in industrial/academic positions with extensive publication record and innovation in LANs routing, communication protocols, and transport mechanisms and structures for future supercomputers
- English: Fluent
