Senior Java Swing UI Developer

Java Swing AWT development role working with Servlets, JGoodies, JSP. You will be part of a core team developing Financial Services software using cutting edge technologies. The successful candidate will be involved with designing and implementing the UI components of the software products.

This is an excellent Dublin city centre based company who a long and successful track record of building world leading software products.

Role / opportunity

  • Involved with designing new UI components

  • Mentoring more junior members of the team

Skills / experience:

  • 9+ years of experience developing with Java Swing
  • Technical skills to include; AWT, Servlets, JGoodies, JSP, JNLP, Markup Languages
  • Knowledge of object oriented design principles
  • Designing and writing new software programs
  • Improving existing programs by analysing and identifying areas for modification
  • Problem-solving and thinking laterally as part of a team
  • Ability to investigate new technologies and create proof or concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
