Senior Oracle Database Administrator

Immediate contract opportunity for a highly experienced Oracle Database Administrator to take lead role in the Dublin based Oracle project which is focused on bringing a number of Oracle databases from European sites to Dublin. A second project will follow which is focused on a transition to SQL Server.

You will be the primary Oracle DBA in Dublin for these projects working closely with an experienced technical team of infrastructure engineers and software developers.

You will lead the strategy for the relocation of Oracle Databases in this technical diverse environment.

Role / Opportunity:

  • City centre based role
  • Oracle DBA contract
  • Relocation of Oracle databases to Ireland
  • Help manage the transfer onto SQL Server databases
  • Provide technical consultancy and support to production support teams

Experience / Skills:

  • 5 years Oracle DBA experience
  • 2 years Oracle 8, 9i, 10g
  • Backup and recovery, tuning skills including tuning of medium to large OLTP and reporting environments
  • Excellent SQL skills

Terms:

  • 3 month contract initially
