Senior Project Manager

Chance to join a new Life and Pensions start up within a global financial services corporate as a Senior Project Manager. You will be helping to define the project processes and methodology to be used within the PMO and influence how projects are delivered to the business.

This role will involved working extensively with external vendors and managing the delivery of project components while managing senior stake holders and business owners expectations.

This is an excellent chance for a strong Senior Project Manager with Life & Pensions experience to join a company at the early stage and impact the Project Management approach.

Role / opportunity:

  • Senior Project Manager
  • Manage the scope of country deployments and track changes to scope
  • Contribute to setting up the project processes
  • Integrating the IT project processes with the business milestones for NPI.
  • Manage vendor deliverables
  • Manage vendor PMs and ensure deliverables are done with quality and on time.
  • Manage effectively business owners and stakeholders (sign off, product deliverables, expectations).
  • Manage the budget and costs of projects
  • Support putting new project processes in place and rolling them within the project team and the business.
  • Ensure that the scoping, overall design integrity, quality, integration, user acceptance, audit and activities related to the implementation of the Project as a whole are in place.
  • Create, maintain and manage a detailed project plans
  • Ensure all components have valid plans and are aligned
  • Report on Project Plans, progress, status, issues and actions to AGD Management as agreed.
  • Manage project budget and costs
  • Actively manages risks, issues and dependencies relating to the Project, escalating where necessary.
  • Use assigned resources effectively and efficiently to deliver.

Skills / experience:

  • 8+ years Project Management and leadership experience
  • 3+ years Life & Pensions experience
  • Change and/or project delivery within Life & Pensions/ Insurance
  • A broad understanding of the Life & Pensions business and depth knowledge of associated IT systems
  • Experience of working alongside external service providers
  • Good understanding of end-to-end Insurance Solutions: Life & Pension
  • Scope tracking and Change and Project management disciplines
  • Ability to improve project processes and industrialize current projects.
  • Business Analyst methodology and techniques
