Software Build & Deployment Engineer

Role/opportunity

  • Build Engineer
  • Join a small but growing team
  • Responsible for building, deploying and controlling stable cross-project releases
  • Scripting and automation of build cycle
  • Aid in identifying project level builds.
  • Assist in managing software configuration process
  • Addressing software build related issues with the relevant development leads
  • Build verification tests before testing proceeds, and participate in testing release gates.
  • Report on all deployment work to applicable stakeholders
  • Work towards a “1 click” automated SCM deployment solution, using version control and build management tools.

Skills/experience

  • 5+ years commercial experience
  • 2+ years experience with compiling, deploying and implementing SCM tools
  • Exposure to Ant, PHP, Shell, MySQL, Tomcat & Linux utilities
  • Ability to get up to speed on new software rapidly
