Technical Consultant Oracle Java

Integration Architect and Consultant to work with a world leading software development corporation delivering enterprise application products to banks throughout Europe. This is an excellent opportunity for a technical proven engineer with good client facing skills to move your career towards a leadership role driving the solution integration process with high profile banks.

You will be the main technical point of contact for the customer and take responsibility for the requirement gather gap analysis, architecture and design of the integration components and customisation of products to meet customer needs.

This is a highly technical role requiring someone with a strong database background (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server) as well as Java and Application Server skills (Weblogic, WebSphere, Jboss).

Great chance to take on a leadership role while remaining technical.

Role / opportunity:

  • Technical Consulting, Technical Architecture and Implementation role
  • Relational database design and development (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server)
  • Java Development, configuration of application Servers (XML, Websphere, Weblogic, Jboss)
  • Full project Life cycle; requirement gathering, gap analysis, architect / design solutions, implementation/delivery
  • Working closely with clients at every stage of implementation life cycle
  • Leading the project and junior team members

Skills / experience:

  • 8+ years experience working with RDBMS; Oracle, DB2, SQL Server
  • Solid experience with Java, J2EE, XML, Websphere, Weblogic or Jboss
  • Proven experience in a client facing role
  • Background working for a Software house in a similar role or a consultancy or Systems Integrator could be of interest.
