Test Automation Engineer

This is not a role for a QA engineer but a development engineer to work in the Testing arena creating test cases through NUnit and C# scripting at the Programming Interface level (API) not a user interface level.

This role is working closely with the development team to help manage the NUnit tests written by development engineers as well as writing your own NUnit tests and taking on the Automation of Load and stress testing through proprietary scripting rather than using an off the shelf tool.

Role / opportunity:

  • Test Automation Development
  • Scripting through Perl, VB Script etc
  • Windows Visual Studio C# environment
  • Writing NUnit test cases
  • Working at an API level
  • Middle tier development focused on testing

Skills / experience:

  • 4+ years relevant commercial experience of coding and/or testing
  • Strong experience of developing automated testing (unit and Programming Interface [API] driven)
  • Strong scripting skills with Perl, VBScript C#
  • Experience of test library management would be a bonus
  • Middle tier development background is of interest
