Web 2.0 Development Manager

Outstanding opportunity to join a highly successful international brand that operate in the mass market consumer space operating heavily in the internet arena where the interface with mass market is the largest revenue stream of this internationally acclaimed business.

This role is driving software development teams and providing strategic direction to the creation, enhancement and maintenance of leading edge web base user interfaces. Pushing a UCD approach you should be experienced in understanding the user journey experience and be comfortable coordinating your efforts with other software development teams and marketing teams.

Role / opportunity:

  • Managing a Team of Software Developers
  • Entirely focusing on the advancement of the mass market User Interface (UI)
  • Manage, coach and develop the development team
  • Take responsibility for the quality of the output from the team
  • Encourage experimentation with emerging technologies
  • Working closely with internal technical and marketing teams

Skills / experience

  • 6+ years relevant commercial experience
  • 2+ years managing teams of software engineers
  • Must have strong understanding of Internet Usage, Internet Trends, User Journeys
  • Must have worked in a business operating in a Web mass market approach or a Web 2.0 driven company
  • Strong stake holder and relationship management skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
